Welcome to FirstRing Canada. These Terms of Service govern your use of the FirstRing platform and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.
FirstRing Canada (operating at firstring.trade, "FirstRing," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered phone answering, scheduling, and business management software-as-a-service for trades businesses operating in Canada.
To use FirstRing, you must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into binding contracts, and operating a legitimate business in Canada. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and for all activity that occurs under your account.
FirstRing offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all features of your selected plan. A valid payment method is required at signup, but you will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel anytime before the end of your trial without any charges. If you do not cancel, your plan will automatically renew at the standard monthly rate at the end of the trial.
FirstRing is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Pricing is shown in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and excludes applicable taxes. Subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for partial months.
Upon signup, FirstRing assigns you a dedicated Canadian phone number provisioned through our telephony partner. This number is licensed for your use during your active subscription. If you cancel your subscription, the phone number will be retained for 30 days during which time you may resubscribe and reclaim the number. After 30 days, the number will be released and may not be available for re-assignment.
You agree not to use FirstRing to: violate any laws or regulations; transmit unsolicited communications (spam); engage in fraudulent activity; impersonate any person or entity; harass, threaten, or harm any individual; or use the service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our systems.
FirstRing records and transcribes incoming calls to your business number for the purpose of providing summaries, building your customer database, and improving service quality. By using FirstRing, you confirm that you have the legal right to use AI-assisted call answering for your business and that you will inform your customers as required by Canadian privacy laws and CRTC regulations.
You retain all rights to the customer data, call transcripts, and business information you store in FirstRing. We use this data solely to provide the service to you and as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time through your dashboard. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the service for scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
FirstRing provides AI-powered call answering as an assistive tool. While we work to ensure accurate call handling, the AI may occasionally misinterpret calls or miss details. You are responsible for reviewing call summaries and following up on important matters. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirstRing's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment. Upon termination, your access to the service ends and your phone number enters the 30-day grace period.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of FirstRing after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
